Jordan is a small country with a big heart and a rich history. It’s a place where you can explore ancient ruins, marvel at desert landscapes, relax by the Dead Sea, and experience the warm hospitality of the Jordanian people. Whether you’re looking for adventure, culture, or family fun, Jordan has something for everyone. Here are some reasons why you should visit Jordan:

Petra: One of the new seven wonders of the world, Petra is a stunning city carved out of red sandstone more than 2,000 years ago. You can walk through the narrow gorge of the Siq, admire the majestic facade of Al Khazneh (the Treasury), climb up to the High Place of Sacrifice, and discover many other monuments and tombs hidden in the rocks. Petra is a must-see for any traveler to Jordan.

Amman: The capital city of Jordan, Amman is a vibrant and modern metropolis with a rich heritage. You can visit the Amman Citadel, a hilltop fortress that dates back to the Bronze Age, the Roman Theatre, a well-preserved amphitheater that can seat 6,000 people, and the Royal Automobile Museum, which showcases the collection of cars owned by King Hussein. Amman is also a great base to explore nearby attractions such as Jerash, Umm Qais, and Madaba.

Aqaba: The gateway to the Red Sea, Aqaba is a seaside resort that offers sun, sand, and sea.  Aqaba is also home to the Aqaba Marine Park, a protected area that hosts a variety of coral reefs and marine life.

Wadi Rum: Also known as the Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum is a vast desert wilderness that features dramatic rock formations, sand dunes, canyons, and natural arches.  You can spend the night in a Bedouin camp and enjoy the hospitality and culture of the local people.

Dead Sea: The lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea is a salt lake that is famous for its therapeutic properties. The high salinity of the water makes it easy to float on the surface, while the mineral-rich mud is said to have healing effects on the skin. The Dead Sea is also surrounded by scenic views of mountains and cliffs.
